Albert Collver

Pastor Collver graduated from Concordia University, Ann Arbor, MI, in 1993 with a BA in Biblical Languages and Communications. This is where he met his wife Terra. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, Saint Louis, in 1997 with a Masters of Divinity (M.Div), in 1999 with a Masters of Sacred Theology (STM), and in 2001 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Systematic Theology. After graduating in 2001, he received a call to serve Hope Lutheran Church in DeWitt, MI. While at Hope, Pastor Collver taught as a visiting professor at Concordia University in Ann Arbor. In 2005, he made his first trip overseas to teach in Novosibirsk, Siberia, Russia. From July 2006 to September 2010, he served as Executive Pastoral Assistant for LCMS World Relief and Human Care. From
2010 until 2019, Dr. Collver served as Director of Church Relations and Assistant to the President of the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, Director of Regional Operations, Managing Director of the International Lutheran Society of Wittenberg, and the General Secretary for the International Lutheran Council. He has visited Lutheran churches in about 100 countries and has written extensively in books and articles.
Presently, Pastor Collver lives in Manchester, MO, with his wife, Terra, and two children Christopher (19) and Kaitlyn (16). They are avid outdoors-men and enjoy hiking and dog sports. Christopher is a professional dog trainer. Kaitlyn enjoys writing, studying Japanese and playing the flute.
